WILD THINGS

Post last updated: March 4th, 2018

As I have previously mentioned, I never know what kind of wildlife I might encounter when I step out my front door. Last week, I was sitting on my brother’s back porch when a coyote ran through the yard.

Last month, in early September, I caught this buzzard feasting on something at the edge of the woods. In Florida, we have two types of buzzards, the Turkey Vulture, Cathartes aura, and the Black Vulture, Coragyps atratus. Although my photo is not the best because he was suspicious as I advanced on him to get the photo, this is a Turkey Vulture.

  1. You and your wildlife. Tell them about the time the parrot waddled up to you and you put him in a halloween pumpkin to rehome him. Now that was hilarious. I would have looked from side to side to see if someone was filming because that kind of thing just doesn’t happen to normal people.

    1. Evie – Bwahahahahahha! I never said I was normal. And that little white parrot was not wildlife. He was tame. Waddled right up to me when I called him. I called Mr. Beekeeper over to take him because, at that time, he had all kinds of birds. Now he’s into bees. Mr. Beekeeper stood around talking and the parrot suddenly flew away.
