Gardening and Spirituality

Post last updated: December 17th, 2017

Gardening and spirituality may go together for some folks but itโ€™s not a good mix for geezers like me.

Yesterday, Poppie and I worked together on edging the wildflower bed and the last of the edging around my flower bed at the front porch. It seemed hotter and more humid than normal so I quit at 9:30 a.m. I then ran a few errands which took most of the day, cooked a quick pizza for Momma and Poppie, and took off for Bible Study class at 6 p.m. Realizing I was tired, I stopped at the mini mart for the caffeine of a Coca-Cola. I should have saved my money. That Coke didnโ€™t have the oomph to stand up to a day of edging and errands in the heat. I got caught red-handed sleeping through the Good News when my textbook landed on the floor with a loud CLUNK!

Thanks for sharing. That gave me a good laugh.
Not that we all have not been in the same position some time or another.
Thanks for brightening up my morning.

  2. I’ve been falling asleep in those places too. The book(s) stay on the table, and I’ve been told that I don’t snore, so… maybe it goes unnoticed.

I don’t notice that having a cuppa coffee helps.

  3. Girl how did you fall asleep in a Bible study class that only meets for an hour? Next time you may want to just stay home.

  4. Ha ha ha! It is true…I was there…Bible on the ground! So glad I found your blog. I love reading your work. Can’t wait to see that book get published. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hi Joani – Thanks for stopping by for a blog visit. Too embarrassing about falling asleep in Bible study. For the remainder of this study, I’m making sure I don’t get so tired. Good thing a lot of people were absent that night! They’ll never know.
